District Missionary Arline Brown
District Missionary Arline Brown was appointed in 2018 as District Missionary by Mother Frankie Davis Murray, Supervisor, under the leadership of the newly appointed District Superintendent Bonus Brown (husband) and Bishop Daniel T. Littleton, Prelate.
District Missionary Brown’s vision for District 8 incorporating the entire District Department of Women is to complete the vision of the following initiatives:
- (G.L.O.W.) God Lights Our Way -Youth
- Heart to Heart – a symposium for married couples
- (P.O.P) Praise On Purpose
- (P.U.S.H.) Pray Until Something Happens
- Sister to Sister – Every 5th Sunday for Lunch
Prior to becoming District Missionary, Missionary Brown and her family were faithful members of Greater Collins COGIC, Collins, Mississippi for many years under the leadership of then Pastor Jerry Walker and First Lady Ada Walker. Missionary Brown worked faithfully in District 13 as the District Music President (13 years) under the leadership of the late Superintendent Sam Quin, and District Missionary Jessie Walker.
Elder Bonus Brown, (husband) received an appointed as Pastor at James Chapel Church of God in Christ; Mount Olive, MS in 2009. This pastoral appointment moved the family to District 8, under the leadership of the late Superintendent Garway Magee and the late District Missionary Annie Jordan, where Missionary Brown worked faithfully.
The service of Pastor Brown and First Lady Arline Brown continued faithfully under the leadership of Superintendent Richard Lee. She served as Music Department President, Evangelist Department Elect Lady, and Y.P.W.W. Chairlady. She received her Evangelist Missionary license in 2017. She was later recommended as District Missionary for District 8.
Arline Brown is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She and her twin sister are the youngest of eight girls. Arline and Elder Bonus Brown met in 1992, married in 1993. To this union, three children were born: one son Sean, and two daughters, Kembreanna and Teniya Brown.
